The North-South Shootout is Junior Sports Association’s premier national qualifying event. The top teams from this tournament will receive an automatic bid to participate in the JSA Nationals to be held in Miami, FL on July 5-10, 2011. There are four of these tournaments held nationwide separated JSA’s four national regions; the eastern, central, mountain, and pacific regions. These tournaments are held in Charlotte, Oklahoma City, Denver, and Hayward, CA respectively. JSA’s regional map is shown below.

The North-South Shootout is played by dividing each region into its northern and southern divisions. Teams from the north play against the teams from the south in each region. Top teams from the north and south are then seeded accordingly for the Nationals. Denver, Colorado will play host to this season’s Mountain Region event. This event will host teams from the north division, which include teams from Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nebraska against teams from the south division, which include teams from Utah, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, and Arizona. This tournament fills up fast due JSA’s national advertising campaigns. Therefore, register early to reserve your spot.
